This interactive online classroom including group exercises is aimed at newly qualified and aspiring city lawyers looking to enhance their legal commercial awareness.
City and commercial law firms expect newly qualified and aspiring city lawyers to have a high level of commercial awareness. Having as much commercial awareness as possible is critical for your future success at interviews, assessment centres and your career. Legal commercial awareness is not something you can learn from just reading the newspapers.
This classroom will provide an introduction to legal commercial awareness and insight into what city and commercial law firms are looking for in candidates. Attendees will be actively engaged in case studies and group exercises.
This online classroom will be held on Thursday 10 July 2025, between 12:00-14:30.
The session will be facilitated by Denis Viskovich, a dual qualified Australian and English lawyer with over twenty years of experience working for investment banks and companies in the City of London. Denis is the founder of the British & Irish University Commercial Awareness Competition ( www.biucac.com ) and Future City Lawyers ( www.futurecitylawyers.com ).
